Jianguang Li
Jianguang has accumulated much experience in investment by working in the financial industry for many years. As the assistant president of Tinhtic Trust & Investment in 1999, he headed the investment banking department and was responsible for the direct investment business. As a manager in the Crosby Group's Beijing Representative Office from 1994 to 1999, he was involved in making new investments, monitoring existing businesses and realizing investments for China Investment Co., Ltd, a US$37 million direct investment fund listed on the London Stock Exchange. He also led the firm's acquisition/merger activities between China and Western countries in the pulp, paper and packaging businesses. Jianguang has evaluated hundreds of investment opportunities in various industries, explored cooperative opportunities with state-owned, collective, private and foreign companies, and accumulated experience in assessing, structuring and managing investments in China's unique environment. He was a research fellow at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences from 1987 to 1992. Jianguang got his master's degree in applied economics and business in 1994 from The University of Guelph, Canada, and his bachelor degree in economics in 1987 from Beijing University, China. |
